Psychotherapist
I received my bachelor's degree in Sociology from Butler University in 1977 and then in 1982 received my
Master's degree. My career has been in the public mental health and addictions field working as an inpatient
clinician, a case manager and later as an administrator in two mental health centers. Recently I received the
opportunity to join Michael Dettner & Associates, where I provide individual, couples and group therapy.
My personal philosophy about therapy is: Whatever we as individuals experience as "roadblocks" are actually
part of life. We often find ourselves in need of someone to express how we feel and learn new coping skills
in a safe, supportive atmosphere. My belief is that this is what Michael Dettner & Associates provides. I'm very
pleased to be a part of the group!
